Incentives & Rebates

Eligibility & Terms

Customers participating in LodgingEEP receive cash incentives for qualifying projects based on their energy savings. Retro-commissioning projects are provided a financial incentive based on the square footage of the facility. LodgingEEP representatives will work directly with customers to determine the amount of incentive for each project opportunity. Lodging customers who complete projects by November 1, 2009 are eligible for a bonus incentive.

LodgingEEP is open to all hospitality segment customers in San Diego Gas & Electric's service territory regardless of energy usage or size. It is offered on a first-come, first served basis and is effective until funding is expended or the program is discontinued by SDG&E®.

We are unable to provide incentives for measures already funded by another utility, state or local program funded under the Public Goods Charge.

Types of Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs)

Many different types of energy conservation measures may qualify for incentives. Categorically, these include a host of lighting fixture and lighting controls equipment, high-efficiency motors, variable-speed drives, and building control and automation equipment, as well as high-efficiency central plant equipment including chillers and cooling towers as well as packaged HVAC equipment. Incentives are also available for retro-commissioning the existing building systems and controls that provide reductions in energy use through improved operations.
